48 Hours in Clumber
Friday 7th to Sunday 9th
Venue: Clumber Park (S80 3AZ)
Date: 7th March 2014 (48 Hour), 8th March (12/ & 24 Hour), 9th March (5k & 10k)

48 Hours of pure running.

Choose your category, go solo, run with a friend, or run with a group of friends, then head out and see just how far you can go in 48 hours! Our 10 kilometre loop will test your mental and physical strength and endurance. Tactics will be tried to their limits, hopefully they will last, just like the memories that you will talk about for years to come.

On Friday 7th March 2014, at midday the clock will begin, each minute ticking away until Sunday 9th March, exactly 48 hours later. Competitors with the most laps will win!

Not quite ready for the full 48 hours? Why not try 24, or even 12? For those who just want a gentle run you can come enjoy the atmosphere and take in the course on our short 5 or 10 k run. Perfect to stretch the legs and enjoy a good day out.

Droitwich members entered so far :

The Malvern Hills Ultra Marathon Saturday 3rd

Notes:
I'm gutted this event clashes with the Lightning run as it's one of my favourite get hates races.

Conti Lightning Run 12hr Sunday 4th
We had a great Droitwich turn out for this event in 2013, with everyone achieving something special (Andy F and Danny W both running 39 miles).

It's being held at Catton park and involves either soloists or teams doing as many 10k laps as they can within 12hrs - sounds crazy right, check out more details <here>

We are hoping we can bring even more people this year, but places are limited so lets get organised.

Droitwich entrance:-

Gavin W - Solo
Scott M & Darren H - Pair
Emily M & Angela T - Pair

Worcester Half and Full Marathon Sunday 4th
Entries are now open for the third running of this very popular event based at the Six Ways Rugby Stadium in Worcester.

The course and format will be very similar to the 2013 race, click on the Race Info tab for full details or click <here> to enter online.

You might be wondering why next years race is in May rather than it's usual weekend in April. Due to Easter being in late April next year and the London Marathon moving their event back a week to our usual weekend we've had to take the decision to avoid a clash and put Worcester Marathon & Half Marathon back into May. Hopefully this will give you an extra few weeks to fine tune your training and peak for the 4th May instead!

The route is seriously flat & rapid - if you want to set a personal best for a half marathon, then this is the event for you.
